Calistoga City HallCalistoga was incorporated on January 6, 1886.   The City of Calistoga's City Council includes five members elected from the city at large. The Mayor is Chris Canning, Vice-Mayor is Irais Lopez-Ortega, and the Councilmembers include Lisa Gift, Gary Kraus, and Donald Williams. The Mayor serves a two-year term while the remaining four Councilmembers serve a four-year term. The Vice Mayor is selected by the Council from among its members.

City Council Meetings are usually held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m. in the Calistoga Community Center, 1307 Washington Street.

The City Council is served by several boards, commissions and committees. These advisory groups are composed of residents appointed by the Council. The City Council is supported by staff headed by Laura Snideman lsnideman@ci.calistoga.ca.us, City Manager. The City employs over 50 people organized into seven Departments.
