2024 Calistoga City Council Regular Meeting Schedule - Resolution 2023-77

Regular meetings of the Calistoga City Council are usually held on Tuesday every 3 weeks at 6:00 PM in the Calistoga Community Center, located at 1307 Washington Street. The public is welcome to attend and participate in all public sessions of the Council. Current Agenda information and staff reports are available online here: https://calistoga.civicweb.net/Portal/ or by calling the City Clerk's Office at 707-942-2807. City Council Meetings are broadcasted live on Channel 28. If you are unable to attend or miss the live broadcast, City Council meetings are re-broadcasted

1) Swearing in of Lester Flynn, new Reserve Police Officer.

2) Presentation by Amy O’Gorman, League of California Cities Public Affairs Regional Director regarding the State budget.

G) CONSENT CALENDAR
The following items listed on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and are approved by a single motion. The Mayor or any member of the City Council or of the public may request that any item listed under the Consent Calendar be removed and action taken separately. In the event that an item is removed from the Consent Calendar, it shall be considered in its numerical order.

3) Accounts payable for the period ending Thursday, July 31, 2008.
(Total amount of $692,640.12)
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve payables.

4) Minutes of the June 25, 2008 Special Planning Commission/City Council Joint Meeting, and minutes of the July 15, 2008 regular City Council meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve Minutes. 

5) Consideration of a Resolution opposing State Budget decisions that would seize local government, redevelopment and transportations funds.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution. 

6) Consideration of a Resolution confirming the Mayor’s appointments to the Bicycle Advisory Committee.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution.

7) Consideration of a Resolution authorizing a response to the 2007/2008 Napa County Grand Jury Report.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution. 
Napa County Grand Jury 07-08 Final Report

8) Consideration of a Resolution approving Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement with the Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to fund and administer the Napa County Stormwater Management Program.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution.

H) PUBLIC HEARING
9) Receive report regarding the expenditure of the $100,000 Citizen’s Option for Public Safety (COPS) grant funding for Fiscal Year 2008/2009.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive and accept report.

I) GENERAL GOVERNMENT 
10) Consideration of a Resolution of support for Measure P (an initiative to extend Measure J - the Agriculture Lands Preservation Initiative) on the November 2008 ballot.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution.

11) Receive a recommendation from the Community Resources Commission regarding the proposed Dog Park on a portion of the Fair Way extension located between Eddy and Anna Streets.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Discuss and provide direction. 

12) Consideration of a Resolution establishing the 2009 General Development Objectives and initiating the Growth Management Allocation process pursuant to Chapter 19.02 (Growth Management System) of the Calistoga Municipal Code.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution.

13) Consideration of a Resolution authorizing an extension of the lease of public land with the Napa County Office of Education, to permit the continuing operation of the Calistoga Preschool August 1, 2008 to August 1, 2010.
RECOMMENDED ACTION. Adopt Resolution.

J) CITY MANAGER REPORTS
