2024 Calistoga City Council Regular Meeting Schedule - Resolution 2023-77

Regular meetings of the Calistoga City Council are usually held on Tuesday every 3 weeks at 6:00 PM in the Calistoga Community Center, located at 1307 Washington Street. The public is welcome to attend and participate in all public sessions of the Council. Current Agenda information and staff reports are available online here: https://calistoga.civicweb.net/Portal/ or by calling the City Clerk's Office at 707-942-2807. City Council Meetings are broadcasted live on Channel 28. If you are unable to attend or miss the live broadcast, City Council meetings are re-broadcasted

Communication A (Item 7)  regarding the City's Rent Stabilization Ordinance.

PLEASE NOTE: Any person who wishes to speak regarding an item on the agenda or make a comment under the “Oral Communication” portion of the agenda may voluntarily complete a “Speaker Card” and submit it to the City Clerk BEFORE that portion of the agenda is called. Speaker cards are available on the table in back of the room. Please observe the time limit of three minutes.

1) Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to Griselda Loza for five years of services as Police Dispatcher.

G) PRESENTATIONS
2) Presentation by County Ag Commissioner Dave Whitmer regarding the European Grapevine Moth, and what it might mean to Napa County and the collaborative efforts to deal with it.

3) Presentation by Alberto Esqueda, Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency Agricultural Transportation Coordinator, regarding the Agricultural Worker Vanpool Program.

H) COUNCIL REQUESTS AND IDEAS FOR DISCUSSION

I) CONSENT CALENDAR
The following items listed on the Consent Calendar are considered routine and are approved by a single motion. The Mayor or any member of the City Council or of the public may request that any item listed under the Consent Calendar be removed and action taken separately. In the event that an item is removed from the Consent Calendar, it shall be considered in its numerical order.

4) Minutes of the August 3, 2010 and August 17, 2010 regular City Council meetings.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve Minutes.

5) Consideration of a Resolution authorizing the Interim City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the County of Napa regarding the Elder Care.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution.

6) Consideration of a Resolution authorizing use of City Street for the Calistoga Downtown Blues Festival special event on October 23, 2010.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution.

J) GENERAL GOVERNMENT
7) Discussion regarding the notice of rent increase at Rancho de Calistoga Mobile Home Park and general review of the City’s Rent Stabilization Ordinance.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Discuss and provide direction.

8) Consideration of a Resolution approving a Mills Act program to foster preservation of qualified historic buildings by private property owners (Mills Act Program for Restoration and Preservation of Historic Buildings).

9) Consideration of a Resolution creating a City Manager Recruitment Advisory Committee regarding recruitment of a new City Manager and confirming the Councils’ appointments thereto.
